Narrated 'Aishah: that Jibril came to the Prophet (ﷺ) with her image upon a piece of green silk cloth, and he said: This is your wife in the world, and in the Hereafter.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ الْمَكِّيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ جَاءَ بِصُورَتِهَا فِي خِرْقَةِ حَرِيرٍ خَضْرَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ هَذِهِ زَوْجَتُكَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَى عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ مُرْسَلًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَى أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا مِنْ هَذَا.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   جبرائیل علیہ السلام ایک سبز ریشم کے ٹکڑے پر ان کی تصویر لے کر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے، اور کہا: یہ آپ کی بیوی ہیں، دنیا اور آخرت دونوں میں ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، ہم اسے صرف عبداللہ بن عمرو بن علقمہ کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں، ۲- عبدالرحمٰن بن مہدی نے اس حدیث کو عبداللہ بن عمرو بن علقمہ سے اسی سند سے مرسلاً روایت کیا ہے اور اس میں عائشہ سے روایت کا ذکر نہیں کیا ہے، ۳- ابواسامہ نے اس حدیث کے کچھ حصہ کو ہشام بن عروہ سے، انہوں نے اپنے باپ سے، انہوں نے عائشہ رضی الله عنہا سے انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کیا ہے ۲؎۔
