حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ الزَّوْفِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُرَّةَ الزَّوْفِيِّ، عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ حُذَافَةَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَمَدَّكُمْ بِصَلَاةٍ هِيَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ مِنْ حُمْرِ النَّعَمِ الْوِتْرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ فِيمَا بَيْنَ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ إِلَى أَنْ يَطْلُعَ الْفَجْرُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَبُرَيْدَةَ وَأَبِي بَصْرَةَ الْغِفَارِيِّ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ حُذَافَةَ حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ وَهِمَ بَعْضُ الْمُحَدِّثِينَ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ وَهُوَ وَهَمٌ فِي هَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو بَصْرَةَ الْغِفَارِيُّ اسْمُهُ حُمَيْلُ بْنُ بَصْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ:‏‏‏‏ جَمِيلُ بْنُ بَصْرَةَ وَلَا يَصِحُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو بَصْرَةَ الْغِفَارِيُّ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ يَرْوِي عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ وَهُوَ:‏‏‏‏ ابْنُ أَخِي أَبِي ذَرٍّ.

Urdu Translation

خارجہ بن حذافہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ( حجرے سے نکل کر ) ہمارے پاس آئے اور فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے تمہارے لیے ایک ایسی نماز کا اضافہ کیا ہے ۱؎، جو تمہارے لیے سرخ اونٹوں سے بہتر ہے، وہ وتر ہے، اللہ نے اس کا وقت تمہارے لیے نماز عشاء سے لے کر فجر کے طلوع ہونے تک رکھا ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- خارجہ بن حذافہ کی حدیث غریب ہے، اسے ہم صرف یزید بن ابی حبیب ہی کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں، ۲- بعض محدثین کو اس حدیث میں وہم ہوا ہے، انہوں نے عبداللہ بن راشد زرقی کہا ہے، یہ وہم ہے ( صحیح «زوفی» ہے ) ۳- اس باب میں ابوہریرہ، عبداللہ بن عمرو، بریدہ، اور ابو بصرہ غفاری رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۴- ابو بصرہ غفاری کا نام حمیل بن بصرہ ہے، اور بعض لوگوں نے جمیل بن بصرہ کہا ہے، لیکن یہ صحیح نہیں، اور ابو بصرہ غفاری ایک دوسرے شخص ہیں جو ابوذر رضی الله عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں اور وہ ابوذر کے بھتیجے ہیں۔

English Translation

Kharijab bin Hudhafah narrated: Allah's Messenger came out to us and he said: 'Indeed Allah has assisted you with a Salat that is better for you than red camels: Al-Witr which Allah made for you between the Isha prayer till Al-Fajr has begun.
