Baab Nawafil Aur Sunnaton Ke Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ قَالَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْصِتْ فَقَدْ لَغَا . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ. وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ:‏‏‏‏ كَرِهُوا لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ إِنْ تَكَلَّمَ غَيْرُهُ فَلَا يُنْكِرْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا بِالْإِشَارَةِ. وَاخْتَلَفُوا فِي رَدِّ السَّلَامِ وَتَشْمِيتِ الْعَاطِسِ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَرَخَّصَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ فِي رَدِّ السَّلَامِ وَتَشْمِيتِ الْعَاطِسِ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَحْمَدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَرِهَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنَ التَّابِعِينَ وَغَيْرِهِمْ ذَلِكَ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ الشَّافِعِيِّ.

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس نے جمعہ کے دن امام کے خطبہ کے دوران کسی سے کہا: چپ رہو تو اس نے لغو بات کی یا اس نے اپنا جمعہ لغو کر لیا“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابن ابی اوفی اور جابر بن عبداللہ رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- اسی پر عمل ہے، علماء نے آدمی کے لیے خطبہ کے دوران گفتگو کرنا مکروہ جانا ہے اور کہا ہے کہ اگر کوئی دوسرا گفتگو کرے تو اسے بھی منع نہ کرے سوائے اشارے کے، ۴- البتہ دوران خطبہ سلام کے جواب دینے اور چھینکنے والے کے جواب میں «يرحمك الله» کہنے کے سلسلہ میں اختلاف ہے بعض اہل علم نے دوران خطبہ سلام کا جواب دینے اور چھینکنے والے کے جواب میں «يرحمك الله» کہنے کی اجازت دی ہے، احمد اور اسحاق بن راہویہ کا یہی قول ہے اور تابعین وغیرہم میں سے بعض اہل علم نے اسے مکروہ قرار دیا ہے، اور یہی شافعی کا قول ہے۔

English Translation

Abu Hurairah narrated that : Allah's Messenger said: Whoever said: 'Be quiet' while the Imam is giving the Khutbah then he has committed Laghw (useless activity).
