Baab Nawafil Aur Sunnaton Ke Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ مُخَوَّلِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ:‏‏‏‏ الم تَنْزِيلُ السَّجْدَةَ وَ هَلْ أَتَى عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ. وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَشُعْبَةُ وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ مُخَوَّلٍ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جمعہ کے دن فجر کی نماز میں «الم ‏تنزيل السجدةَ»،‏‏‏‏ «هل أتى على الإنسان» پڑھتے تھے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابن عباس رضی الله عنہما کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں سعد، ابن مسعود اور ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- سفیان ثوری، شعبہ اور کئی لوگوں نے بھی یہ حدیث مخول بن راشد سے روایت کی ہے۔

English Translation

Ibn Abbas narrated: For the Fajr prayer on Friday, Allah's Messenger would recite: Alif Lam Mem (which is) revealed in (Surat) As-Sajdah and, Has there not been over man.
