Baab Khareed O Farookht Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو ضَمْرَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُمَرَ : أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَشْتَرُونَ الطَّعَامَ مِنَ الرُّكْبَانِ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَيَبْعَثُ عَلَيْهِمْ مَنْ يَمْنَعُهُمْ أَنْ يَبِيعُوهُ ، حَيْثُ اشْتَرَوْهُ حَتَّى يَنْقُلُوهُ ، حَيْثُ يُبَاعُ الطَّعَامُ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے ابراہیم بن المنذر نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے ابوضمرہ انس بن عیاض نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے موسیٰ بن عقبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ   صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانہ میں غلہ قافلوں سے خریدتے تھے تو آپ ان کے پاس کوئی آدمی بھیج کر وہیں پر جہاں انہوں نے غلہ خریدا ہوتا۔ اس غلے کو بیچنے سے منع فرما دیتے اور اسے وہاں سے لا کر بیچنے کا حکم ہوتا جہاں عام طور پر غلہ بکتا تھا۔

English Translation

Narrated Nafi`: Ibn `Umar told us that the people used to buy food from the caravans in the lifetime of the Prophet. The Prophet used to forbid them to sell it at the very place where they had purchased it (but they were to wait) till they carried it to the market where foodstuff was sold.
