Baab Khareed O Farookht Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مَالِكًا ، وَسَأَلَهُ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ، أَحَدَّثَكَ دَاوُدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَخَّصَ فِي بَيْعِ الْعَرَايَا فِي خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ ، أَوْ دُونَ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے عبداللہ بن عبدالوہاب نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے امام مالک سے سنا، ان سے عبیداللہ بن ربیع نے پوچھا کہ کیا آپ سے داؤد نے سفیان سے اور انہوں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے یہ حدیث بیان کی تھی کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پانچ وسق یا اس سے کم میں بیع عریہ کی اجازت دے دی ہے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا کہ ہاں!

English Translation

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet allowed the sale of the dates of 'Araya provided they were about five Awsuq (singular: Wasaq which means sixty Sa's) or less (in amount).
