Baab Jihad Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْلَا أَنَّ رِجَالًا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لَا تَطِيبُ أَنْفُسُهُمْ أَنْ يَتَخَلَّفُوا عَنِّي ، وَلَا أَجِدُ مَا أَحْمِلُهُمْ عَلَيْهِ مَا تَخَلَّفْتُ عَنْ سَرِيَّةٍ تَغْزُو فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي أُقْتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، ثُمَّ أُحْيَا ، ثُمَّ أُقْتَلُ ، ثُمَّ أُحْيَا ، ثُمَّ أُقْتَلُ ، ثُمَّ أُحْيَا ، ثُمَّ أُقْتَلُ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے ابوالیمان نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو شعیب نے خبر دی، ان سے زہری نے بیان کیا، انہیں سعید بن مسیب نے، ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرما رہے تھے اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے! اگر مسلمانوں کے دلوں میں اس سے رنج نہ ہوتا کہ میں ان کو چھوڑ کر جہاد کے لیے نکل جاؤں اور مجھے خود اتنی سواریاں میسر نہیں ہیں کہ ان سب کو سوار کر کے اپنے ساتھ لے چلوں تو میں کسی چھوٹے سے چھوٹے ایسے لشکر کے ساتھ جانے سے بھی نہ رکتا جو اللہ کے راستے میں غزوہ کے لیے جا رہا ہوتا۔ اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے! میری تو آرزو ہے کہ میں اللہ کے راستے میں قتل کیا جاؤں، پھر زندہ کیا جاؤں، پھر قتل کیا جاؤں اور پھر زندہ کیا جاؤں پھر قتل کیا جاؤں اور پھر زندہ کیا جاؤں اور پھر قتل کر دیا جاؤں۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, By Him in Whose Hands my life is! Were it not for some men amongst the believers who dislike to be left behind me and whom I cannot provide with means of conveyance, I would certainly never remain behind any Sariya' (army-unit) setting out in Allah's Cause. By Him in Whose Hands my life is! I would love to be martyred in Allah's Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred.
