Baab Is Bayan May Ke Makhlooq Ki Pedaish Kiunkar Shuru Hui

قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : فَبَيْنَا أَنَا أُطَارِدُ حَيَّةً لِأَقْتُلَهَا فَنَادَانِي أَبُو لُبَابَةَ لَا تَقْتُلْهَا ، فَقُلْتُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْحَيَّاتِ ، قَالَ : إِنَّهُ نَهَى بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ عَنْ ذَوَاتِ الْبُيُوتِ وَهِيَ الْعَوَامِرُ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ   ایک مرتبہ میں ایک سانپ کو مارنے کی کوشش کر رہا تھا کہ مجھ سے ابولبابہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے پکار کر کہا کہ اسے نہ مارو، میں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے تو سانپوں کے مارنے کا حکم دیا تھا۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ بعد میں پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے گھروں میں رہنے والے سانپوں کو جو جِن ہوتے ہیں دفعتاً مار ڈالنے سے منع فرمایا۔

English Translation

(`Abdullah bin `Umar further added): Once while I was chasing a snake in order, to kill it, Abu Lubaba called me saying: Don't kill it, I said. Allah's Apostle ordered us to kill snakes. He said, But later on he prohibited the killing of snakes living in the houses. (Az-Zuhri said. Such snakes are called Al-Awamir. )
