Narrated Hudhaifa: My companions learned (something about) good (through asking the Prophet) while I learned (something about) evil.

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنِي قَيْسٌ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : تَعَلَّمَ أَصْحَابِي الْخَيْرَ وَتَعَلَّمْتُ الشَّرَّ .

ہم سے محمد بن مثنیٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا مجھ سے یحییٰ بن سعید نے، ان سے اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، کہا مجھ سے قیس نے بیان کیا، ان سے حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   میرے ساتھیوں نے ( یعنی صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم نے ) تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بھلائی کے حالات سیکھے اور میں نے برائی کے حالات دریافت کئے۔
