Baab Nabi Saw Ke Ashaab Ki Fazeelat

حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ ، سَمِعْتُ زَهْدَمَ بْنَ مُضَرِّبٍ ، سَمِعْتُ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : خَيْرُ أُمَّتِي قَرْنِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ، قَالَ عِمْرَانُ : فَلَا أَدْرِي أَذَكَرَ بَعْدَ قَرْنِهِ قَرْنَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا ، ثُمَّ إِنَّ بَعْدَكُمْ قَوْمًا يَشْهَدُونَ وَلَا يُسْتَشْهَدُونَ ، وَيَخُونُونَ وَلَا يُؤْتَمَنُونَ ، وَيَنْذُرُونَ وَلَا يَفُونَ وَيَظْهَرُ فِيهِمُ السِّمَنُ .

Urdu Translation

مجھ سے اسحٰق بن راہویہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے نضر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو شعبہ نے خبر دی، انہیں ابوجمرہ نے، کہا میں نے زہدم بن مضرب سے سنا، کہا کہ میں نے عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہما سے سنا، انہوں نے کہا کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ میری امت کا سب سے بہترین زمانہ میرا زمانہ ہے، پھر ان لوگوں کا جو اس زمانہ کے بعد آئیں گے۔ پھر ان لوگوں کا جو اس زمانہ کے بعد آئیں گے۔ عمران رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے یاد نہیں ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے دور کے بعد دو زمانوں کا ذکر کیا یا تین کا۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ تمہارے بعد ایک ایسی قوم پیدا ہو گی جو بغیر کہے گواہی دینے کے لیے تیار ہو جایا کرے گی اور ان میں خیانت اور چوری اتنی عام ہو جائے گی کہ ان پر کسی قسم کا بھروسہ باقی نہیں رہے گا۔ اور نذریں مانیں گے لیکن انہیں پورا نہیں کریں گے ( حرام مال کھا کھا کر ) ان پر مٹاپا عام ہو جائے گا۔

English Translation

Narrated `Imran bin Husain: Allah's Apostle said, 'The best of my followers are those living in my generation (i.e. my contemporaries). and then those who will follow the latter `Imran added, I do not remember whether he mentioned two or three generations after his generation, then the Prophet added, 'There will come after you, people who will bear witness without being asked to do so, and will be treacherous and untrustworthy, and they will vow and never fulfill their vows, and fatness will appear among them.
