Sahih Bukhari 3823 - The Merits Of Al-Ansar

Baab Ansar Ke Munaqib

وَعَنْ قَيْسٍ عن جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ بَيْتٌ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ : ذُو الْخَلَصَةِ وَكَانَ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ : الْكَعْبَةُ الْيَمَانِيَةُ أَوْ الْكَعْبَةُ الشَّأْمِيَّةُ ، فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : هَلْ أَنْتَ مُرِيحِي مِنْ ذِي الْخَلَصَةِ ؟ ، قَالَ : فَنَفَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ فِي خَمْسِينَ وَمِائَةِ فَارِسٍ مِنْ أَحْمَسَ ، قَالَ : فَكَسَرْنَا وَقَتَلْنَا مَنْ وَجَدْنَا عِنْدَهُ , فَأَتَيْنَاهُ فَأَخْبَرْنَاهُ , فَدَعَا لَنَا وَلِأَحْمَسَ .

Urdu Translation

اور قیس سے روایت ہے کہ جریر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا   زمانہ جاہلیت میں ”ذوالخلصہ“ نامی ایک بت کدہ تھا اسے «الكعبة اليمانية» یا «الكعبة الشأمية» بھی کہتے تھے، نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا ”ذی الخلصہ کے وجود سے میں جس اذیت میں مبتلا ہوں، کیا تم مجھے اس سے نجات دلا سکتے ہو؟“ انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ پھر قبیلہ احمس کے ڈیڑھ سو سواروں کو میں لے کر چلا، انہوں نے بیان کیا اور ہم نے بت کدے کو ڈھا دیا اور اس میں جو تھے ان کو قتل کر دیا، پھر ہم نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو خبر دی تو آپ نے ہمارے لیے اور قبیلہ احمس کے لیے دعا فرمائی۔

English Translation

Jarir bin 'Abdullah narrated: There was a house called Dhul-Khalasa in the Pre-lslamic Period and it was also called Al-Ka'ba Al-Yamaniya or Al-Ka'ba Ash-Shamiya. Allah's Apostle said to me, Will you relieve me from Dhul-Khalasa? So I left for it with 150 cavalrymen from the tribe of Ahmas and then we destroyed it and killed whoever we found there. Then we came to the Prophet and informed him about it. He invoked good upon us and upon the tribe of Ahmas.
