Sahih Bukhari 4197 - The Book Of Al- Maghazi

Baab Ghazwat Ke Bayan Main

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَى خَيْبَرَ لَيْلًا ، وَكَانَ إِذَا أَتَى قَوْمًا بِلَيْلٍ لَمْ يُغِرْ بِهِمْ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ ، فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ خَرَجَتْ الْيَهُودُ بِمَسَاحِيهِمْ وَمَكَاتِلِهِمْ ، فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ قَالُوا : مُحَمَّدٌ وَاللَّهِ مُحَمَّدٌ وَالْخَمِيسُ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : خَرِبَتْ خَيْبَرُ ، إِنَّا إِذَا نَزَلْنَا بِسَاحَةِ قَوْمٍ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے عبداللہ بن یوسف تینسی نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم کو امام مالک رحمہ اللہ نے خبر دی ‘ انہیں حمید طویل نے اور انہیں انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم خیبر رات کے وقت پہنچے۔ آپ کا قاعدہ تھا کہ جب کسی قوم پر حملہ کرنے کے لیے رات کے وقت موقع پر پہنچتے تو فوراً ہی حملہ نہیں کرتے بلکہ صبح ہو جاتی جب کرتے۔ چنانچہ صبح کے وقت یہودی اپنے کلہاڑے اور ٹوکرے لے کر باہر نکلے لیکن جب انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا تو شور کرنے لگے کہ محمد ‘ اللہ کی قسم! محمد لشکر لے کر آ گئے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ خیبر برباد ہوا ‘ ہم جب کسی قوم کے میدان میں اتر جاتے ہیں تو ڈرائے ہوئے لوگوں کی صبح بری ہو جاتی ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Anas: Allah's Apostle reached Khaibar at night and it was his habit that, whenever he reached the enemy at night, he will not attack them till it was morning. When it was morning, the Jews came out with their spades and baskets, and when they saw him(i.e. the Prophet ), they said, Muhammad! By Allah! Muhammad and his army! The Prophet said, Khaibar is destroyed, for whenever we approach a (hostile) nation (to fight), then evil will be the morning for those who have been warned.
