Baab Ghazwat Ke Bayan Main

قَالَ أَبُو بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنِّي لَأَعْرِفُ أَصْوَاتَ رُفْقَةِ الْأَشْعَرِيِّينَ بِالْقُرْآنِ حِينَ يَدْخُلُونَ بِاللَّيْلِ ، وَأَعْرِفُ مَنَازِلَهُمْ مِنْ أَصْوَاتِهِمْ بِالْقُرْآنِ بِاللَّيْلِ ، وَإِنْ كُنْتُ لَمْ أَرَ مَنَازِلَهُمْ حِينَ نَزَلُوا بِالنَّهَارِ ، وَمِنْهُمْ حَكِيمٌ إِذَا لَقِيَ الْخَيْلَ ، أَوْ قَالَ الْعَدُوَّ قَالَ لَهُمْ : إِنَّ أَصْحَابِي يَأْمُرُونَكُمْ أَنْ تَنْظُرُوهُمْ .

Urdu Translation

ابوبردہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ اسماء رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ مجھ سے اس حدیث کو باربار سنتے تھے۔ ابوبردہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا اور ان سے ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جب میرے اشعری احباب رات میں آتے ہیں تو میں ان کی قرآن کی تلاوت کی آواز پہچان جاتا ہوں۔ اگرچہ دن میں ‘ میں نے ان کی اقامت گاہوں کو نہ دیکھا ہو لیکن جب رات میں وہ قرآن پڑھتے ہیں تو ان کی آواز سے میں ان کی اقامت گاہوں کو پہچان لیتا ہوں۔ میرے انہی اشعری احباب میں ایک مرد دانا بھی ہے کہ جب کہیں اس کی سواروں سے مڈبھیڑ ہو جاتی ہے یا آپ نے فرمایا کہ دشمن سے ‘ تو ان سے کہتا ہے کہ میرے دوستوں نے کہا ہے کہ تم تھوڑی دیر کے لیے ان کا انتظار کر لو۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Burda: Abu Musa said, The Prophet said, I recognize the voice of the group of Al- Ashariyun, when they recite the Qur'an, when they enter their homes at night, and I recognize their houses by (listening) to their voices when they are reciting the Qur'an at night although I have not seen their houses when they came to them during the day time. Amongst them is Hakim who, on meeting the cavalry or the enemy, used to say to them (i.e. the enemy). My companions order you to wait for them.'
