Baab Quran Pak Ki Tafseer Ke Bayan Main

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ , عَنْ عَمْرٍو , عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا , قَالَ : كَانَتْ عُكَاظُ , وَمَجَنَّةُ , وَذُو الْمَجَازِ أَسْوَاقًا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ ، فَتَأَثَّمُوا أَنْ يَتَّجِرُوا فِي الْمَوَاسِمِ ، فَنَزَلَتْ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا فَضْلا مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ سورة البقرة آية 198 فِي مَوَاسِمِ الْحَجِّ .

Urdu Translation

مجھ سے محمد نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھے ابن عیینہ نے خبر دی، انہیں عمرو نے اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ   عکاظ، مجنہ اور ذوالمجاز زمانہ جاہلیت کے بازار ( میلے ) تھے، اس لیے ( اسلام کے بعد ) موسم حج میں صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم نے وہاں کاروبار کو برا سمجھا تو آیت نازل ہوئی «ليس عليكم جناح أن تبتغوا فضلا من ربكم‏» کہ ”تمہیں اس بارے میں کوئی حرج نہیں کہ تم اپنے پروردگار کے یہاں سے تلاش معاش کرو۔“ یعنی موسم حج میں تجارت کے لیے مذکورہ منڈیوں میں جاؤ۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: `Ukaz, Mijanna and Dhul-Majaz were markets during the Pre-islamic Period. They (i.e. Muslims) considered it a sin to trade there during the Hajj time (i.e. season), so this Verse was revealed:-- There is no harm for you if you seek of the Bounty of your Lord during the Hajj season. (2.198)
