حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ , حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ , حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ , عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ , عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : لَمَّا أُنْزِلَتِ الْآيَاتُ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ قَرَأَهُنَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَحَرَّمَ التِّجَارَةَ فِي الْخَمْرِ .

Urdu Translation

مجھ سے محمد بن بشار نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے غندر نے بیان کیا، ان سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے منصور نے، ان سے ابوالضحیٰ نے، ان سے مسروق نے اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ   جب سورۃ البقرہ کی آخری آیتیں نازل ہوئیں تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں مسجد میں پڑھ کر سنایا اور شراب کی تجارت حرام قرار دی گئی۔

English Translation

Narrated `Aisha: When the last Verses of Surat-al-Baqara were revealed, the Prophet read them in the Mosque and prohibited the trade of alcoholic liquors. If the debtor is in difficulty, grant him time till it is easy for him to repay.. (2.280) Narrated `Aisha: When the last Verses of Surat-al-Baqara were revealed, Allah's Messenger stood up and recited them before us and then prohibited the trade of alcoholic liquors.
