حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الأَقْرَبِينَ سورة الشعراء آية 214 ، وَرَهْطَكَ مِنْهُمُ الْمُخْلَصِينَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى صَعِدَ الصَّفَا فَهَتَفَ يَا صَبَاحَاهْ ، فَقَالُوا : مَنْ هَذَا ؟ فَاجْتَمَعُوا إِلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَخْبَرْتُكُمْ أَنَّ خَيْلًا تَخْرُجُ مِنْ سَفْحِ هَذَا الْجَبَلِ ، أَكُنْتُمْ مُصَدِّقِيَّ ؟ قَالُوا : مَا جَرَّبْنَا عَلَيْكَ كَذِبًا ، قَالَ : فَإِنِّي نَذِيرٌ لَكُمْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ ، قَالَ أَبُو لَهَبٍ : تَبًّا لَكَ مَا جَمَعْتَنَا إِلَّا لِهَذَا ، ثُمَّ قَامَ ، فَنَزَلَتْ تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ سورة المسد آية 1 ، وَقَدْ تَبَّ هَكَذَا قَرَأَهَا الْأَعْمَشُ يَوْمَئِذٍ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے یوسف بن موسیٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابواسامہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے اعمش نے بیان کیا، ان سے عمرو بن مرہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے سعید بن جبیر نے اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ   جب یہ آیت نازل ہوئی «وأنذر عشيرتك الأقربين‏» ”آپ اپنے قریبی رشتہ داروں کو ڈرایئے اور اپنے گروہ کے ان لوگوں کو ڈرائیے جو مخلصین ہیں۔“ تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم صفا پہاڑی پر چڑھ گئے اور پکارا: یاصباحاہ! قریش نے کہا یہ کون ہے، پھر وہاں سب آ کر جمع ہو گئے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے فرمایا کہ تمہارا کیا خیال ہے، اگر میں تمہیں بتاؤں کہ ایک لشکر اس پہاڑ کے پیچھے سے آنے والا ہے، تو کیا تم مجھ کو سچا نہیں سمجھو گے؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمیں جھوٹ کا آپ سے تجربہ کبھی بھی نہیں ہے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ پھر میں تمہیں اس سخت عذاب سے ڈراتا ہوں جو تمہارے سامنے آ رہا ہے۔ یہ سن کر ابولہب بولا، تو تباہ ہو، کیا تو نے ہمیں اسی لیے جمع کیا تھا؟ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم وہاں سے چلے آئے اور آپ پر یہ سورت نازل ہوئی «تبت يدا أبي لهب وتب‏» الخ یعنی ”دونوں ہاتھ ٹوٹ گئے ابولہب کے اور وہ برباد ہو گیا۔“ اعمش نے یوں پڑھا «وقد تب» جس دن یہ حدیث روایت کی۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: When the Verse:-- 'And warn your tribe of near kindred.' (26.214) was revealed. Allah's Messenger went out, and when he had ascended As-Safa mountain, he shouted, O Sabahah! The people said, Who is that? Then they gathered around him, whereupon he said, Do you see? If I inform you that cavalrymen are proceeding up the side of this mountain, will you believe me? They said, We have never heard you telling a lie. Then he said, I am a plain warner to you of a coming severe punishment. Abu Lahab said, May you perish! You gathered us only for this reason? Then Abu Lahab went away. So the Surat:--ul--LAHAB 'Perish the hands of Abu Lahab!' (111.1) was revealed.
