Baab Nikah Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ لِأَرْبَعٍ : لِمَالِهَا ، وَلِحَسَبِهَا ، وَجَمَالِهَا ، وَلِدِينِهَا ، فَاظْفَرْ بِذَاتِ الدِّينِ تَرِبَتْ يَدَاكَ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے مسدد بن مسرہد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یحییٰ بن سعید قطان نے، ان سے عبیداللہ عموی نے، کہ مجھ سے سعید بن ابی سعید نے، ان سے ان کے والد نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ عورت سے نکاح چار چیزوں کی بنیاد پر کیا جاتا ہے اس کے مال کی وجہ سے اور اس کے خاندانی شرف کی وجہ سے اور اس کی خوبصورتی کی وجہ سے اور اس کے دین کی وجہ سے اور تو دیندار عورت سے نکاح کر کے کامیابی حاصل کر، اگر ایسا نہ کرے تو تیرے ہاتھوں کو مٹی لگے گی ( یعنی اخیر میں تجھ کو ندامت ہو گی ) ۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, A woman is married for four things, i.e., her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion. So you should marry the religious woman (otherwise) you will be a losers.
