Sahih Bukhari 5187 - The Book Of (The Wedlock)

Baab Nikah Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : كُنَّا نَتَّقِي الْكَلَامَ وَالِانْبِسَاطَ إِلَى نِسَائِنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَيْبَةَ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ فِينَا شَيْءٌ ، فَلَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَكَلَّمْنَا وَانْبَسَطْنَا .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے ابونعیم نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان ثوری نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبداللہ بن دینار نے اور ان سے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے وقت میں ہم اپنی بیویوں کے ساتھ گفتگو اور بہت زیادہ بےتکلفی سے اس ڈر کی وجہ سے پرہیز کرتے تھے کہ کہیں کوئی بےاعتدالی ہو جائے اور ہماری برائی میں کوئی حکم نازل نہ ہو جائے۔ پھر جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی وفات ہو گئی تو ہم نے ان سے خوب کھل کے گفتگو کی اور خوب بےتکلفی کرنے لگے۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn `Umar: During the lifetime of the Prophet we used to avoid chatting leisurely and freely with our wives lest some Divine inspiration might be revealed concerning us. But when the Prophet had died, we started chatting leisurely and freely (with them).
