Narrated Abu Muisa Al-Ash`ari: The Prophet said, Feed the hungry, visit the sick, and set free the captives.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَطْعِمُوا الْجَائِعَ ، وَعُودُوا الْمَرِيضَ ، وَفُكُّوا الْعَانِيَ .

ہم سے قتیبہ بن سعید نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابوعوانہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے منصور نے، ان سے ابووائل نے اور ان سے ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ بھوکے کو کھانا کھلاؤ اور مریض کی عیادت یعنی مزاج پرسی کرو اور قیدی کو چھڑاؤ۔
