حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، قَالَ : لَعَنَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ الْوَاشِمَاتِ وَالْمُتَنَمِّصَاتِ وَالْمُتَفَلِّجَاتِ لِلْحُسْنِ ، الْمُغَيِّرَاتِ خَلْقَ اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ يَعْقُوبَ : مَا هَذَا ؟ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : وَمَا لِي لَا أَلْعَنُ مَنْ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَفِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ قَالَتْ : وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ قَرَأْتُ مَا بَيْنَ اللَّوْحَيْنِ فَمَا وَجَدْتُهُ ، قَالَ : وَاللَّهِ لَئِنْ قَرَأْتِيهِ لَقَدْ وَجَدْتِيهِ وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا سورة الحشر آية 7 .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے اسحاق بن ابراہیم بن راہویہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو جریر نے خبر دی، انہیں منصور نے، انہیں ابراہیم نخعی نے اور ان سے علقمہ نے کہ   عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے خوبصورتی کے لیے گودنے والیوں، چہرے کے بال اکھاڑنے والیوں اور سامنے کے دانتوں کے درمیان کشادگی پیدا کرنے والیوں جو اللہ کی پیدائش میں تبدیلی کرتی ہیں، ان سب پر لعنت بھیجی تو ام یعقوب نے کہا کہ یہ کیا بات ہوئی۔ عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا آخر میں کیوں نہ ان پر لعنت بھیجوں جن پر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے لعنت بھیجی ہے اور کتاب اللہ میں اس پر لعنت موجود ہے۔ ام یعقوب نے کہا کہ اللہ کی قسم! میں نے پورا قرآن مجید پڑھ ڈالا اور کہیں بھی ایسی کوئی آیت مجھے نہیں ملی۔ عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: اللہ کی قسم! اگر تم نے پڑھا ہوتا تو تمہیں ضرور مل جاتا کیا تم کو یہ آیت معلوم نہیں «وما آتاكم الرسول فخذوه وما نهاكم عنه فانتهوا‏» یعنی ”اور جو کچھ رسول تمہیں دیں اسے لے لو اور جس سے بھی تمہیں منع کریں اس سے رک جاؤ۔“

English Translation

Narrated 'Alqama: `Abdullah cursed those women who practiced tattooing and those who removed hair from their faces and those who created spaces between their teeth artificially to look beautiful, such ladies as changed what Allah has created. Um Ya'qub said, What is that? `Abdullah said, Why should I not curse those who were cursed by Allah's Apostle and are referred to in Allah's Book? She said to him By Allah, I have read the whole Qur'an but I have not found such a thing. `Abdullah said, By Allah, if you had read it (carefully) you would have found it. (Allah says:) 'And what the Apostle gives you take it and what he forbids you abstain (from it).' (59.7)
