حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : إِذَا عَطَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ، وَلْيَقُلْ لَهُ أَخُوهُ أَوْ صَاحِبُهُ يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ ، فَإِذَا قَالَ لَهُ : يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ ، فَلْيَقُلْ يَهْدِيكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے مالک بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے عبدالعزیز بن ابی سلمہ نے بیان کیا، انہیں عبداللہ بن دینار نے خبر دی، وہ ابوصالح سے اور وہ ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”جب تم میں سے کوئی چھینکے تو «الحمد الله» کہے اور اس کا بھائی یا اس کا ساتھی ( راوی کو شبہ تھا ) «يرحمك الله» کہے۔ جب ساتھی «يرحمك الله» کہے تو اس کے جواب میں چھینکنے والا «يهديكم الله ويصلح بالكم» ۔“

English Translation

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, If anyone of you sneezes, he should say 'Al-Hamduli l-lah' (Praise be to Allah), and his (Muslim) brother or companion should say to him, 'Yar-hamuka-l-lah' (May Allah bestow his Mercy on you). When the latter says 'Yar-hamuka-llah , the former should say, 'Yahdikumul-lah wa Yuslih balakum' (May Allah give you guidance and improve your condition).
