حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيُّ ، أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، كَيْفَ نُصَلِّي عَلَيْكَ ؟ قَالَ : قُولُوا : اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَأَزْوَاجِهِ ، وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَأَزْوَاجِهِ ، وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ ، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے عبداللہ بن مسلمہ قعنبی نے بیان کیا، ان سے امام مالک نے، ان سے عبداللہ بن ابی بکر نے، ان سے ان کے والد نے اور ان سے عمرو بن سلیم زرقی نے بیان کیا کہ ہم کو ابو حمید ساعدی رضی اللہ عنہ نے خبر دی کہ   صحابہ نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! ہم آپ پر کس طرح درود بھیجیں؟ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اس طرح کہو «اللهم صل على محمد وأزواجه وذريته،‏‏‏‏ كما صليت على آل إبراهيم،‏‏‏‏ وبارك على محمد وأزواجه وذريته،‏‏‏‏ كما باركت على آل إبراهيم،‏‏‏‏ إنك حميد مجيد» ”اے اللہ! محمد اور آپ کی ازواج اور آپ کی اولاد پر اپنی رحمت نازل کر جیسا کہ تو نے ابراہیم اور آل ابراہیم پر رحمت نازل کی اور محمد اور ان کی ازواج اور ان کی اولاد پر برکت نازل کر، جیسا کہ تو نے ابراہیم اور آل ابراہیم پر برکت نازل کی۔ بلاشبہ تو تعریف کیا گیا شان و عظمت والا ہے۔“

English Translation

Narrated Abu Humaid As-Saidi: The people said, O Allah's Apostle ! How may we send Salat on you? He said, Say: Allahumma Salli 'ala- Muhammadin wa azwajihi wa dhurriyyatihi kama sal-laita 'ala `Ali Ibrahim; wa barik 'ala Muhammadin wa azwajihi wa dhurriyyatihi kamabarakta 'ala `Ali Ibrahim innaka hamidun majid.
