Baab Namaz Ke Ahkam O Masail

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ بِـ {سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى} [الأعلى: 1] وَفِي الصُّبْحِ بِأَطْوَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ

Urdu Translation

  ابو داؤد طیالسی نے شعبہ سے ، انہوں نے سماک سے اور انہوں نے حضرت جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت کی کہ نبی اکرمﷺ ظہر کی نماز میں ﴿سبح اسم ربك الأعلى﴾ ( اور اپنے پروردگار کے اونچے نام کی تسبیح کر ) پڑھتے اور صبح کی نماز میں اس سے لمبی قراءت کرتے تھے ۔

English Translation

Jabir b. Samura reported: The Apostle of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) used to recite in the noon prayer: Glorify the name of thy Most High Lord in the morning prayer longer than this (lxxxvii.)
