Muhammad bin ul-Muthannā narrated to us, he said Abd ur-Rahman narrated to us, he said Sufyān narrated to us, on authority of Abī Ishāq, on authority of Abīl-Ahwas, on authority of Abd Illah, he said: ‘It is enough of a lie for a man that he narrates everything he hears’.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: «بِحَسْبِ الْمَرْءِ مِنَ الْكَذِبِ أَنْ يُحَدِّثَ بِكُلِّ مَا سَمِعَ»

  محمد بن مثٰنی ‘ عبد الرحمٰن ‘ سفیان ‘ ابو اسحاق ‘ ابو الاحوص نے عبد اللہ ( بن مسعود ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ ) سے روایت کی ، کہا : آدمی کے جھوٹ میں یہی کافی ہے کہ وہ ہر سنی ہوئی بات بیان کر دے ۔
