حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، قَالَ يَحْيَى: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ: «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي قِبْلَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَحَكَّهَا بِحَصَاةٍ، ثُمَّ نَهَى أَنْ يَبْزُقَ الرَّجُلُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، أَوْ أَمَامَهُ، وَلَكِنْ يَبْزُقُ، عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ الْيُسْرَى» ح

Urdu Translation

  ) سفیان بن عیینہ نے زہری سے ، انھوں نے حمید بن عبدالرحمن سے اور انھوں نے حضرت ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ نبی ﷺ نے مسجد کے قبلے ( کی سمت ) میں بلغم دیکھا تو آپ نے اسے ایک کنکر کے ذریعے سے کھر چ ڈالا ، پھر آپ نے اس بات سے منع فرمایا کہ کوئی شخص اپنے دائیں یا سامنے تھوکے ، البتہ وہ ( اگر کچی زمین یا ریت پر نماز پڑ ھ رہا ہے تو ) اپنی بائیں جانب یا بائیں پاؤں کے نیچے تھوک سکتا ہے ۔

English Translation

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported: The Apostle of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) saw sputum sticking to the Qibla of the mosque. He scratched it off with a pebble and then forbade spitting on the right side or in front, but (it is permissible) to spit on the left side or under the left foot.
