Abu Malik narrated on the authority of his father that he heard the Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) say: He who held belief in the unity of Allah, and then narrated what has been stated above.

وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ. وَعَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَا: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ» بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ح وحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ح وحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَهْدِيٍّ، قَالَا جَمِيعًا: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، فَإِذَا قَالُوا: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ عَصَمُوا مِنِّي دِمَاءَهُمْ، وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلَّا بِحَقِّهَا، وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللهِ ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ: {إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمُسَيْطِرٍ}

  ابو زبیر نے حضر ت جابر ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ سے روایت کی کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں لوگوں سے لڑوں یہاں تک کہ وہ لااله الا الله کے قائل ہو جائیں ، جب وہ لا اله الا الله کےقائل ہو جائیں گے تو انہوں نے میری طرف سے اپنے خون اور مال محفوظ کر لیے ، الا یہ کہ اس ( کلمے کے ) حق کا ( تقاضا ) ہو ، اور ان کاحساب اللہ کے سپرد ہے ۔ ‘ ‘ پھر آپ نے ( یہ آیت ) تلاوت فرمائی : ’’ آپ تو بس نصیحت کرنے والے ہیں ، آپ ان پر زبردستی کرنے والے نہیں ہیں ۔ ‘ ‘
