دَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ: «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ خَمْسًا»، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قِيلَ لَهُ أَزِيدَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ: «وَمَا ذَاكَ؟» قَالُوا: صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا، «فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ»

Urdu Translation

  حکم نے ابراہیم سے ، انھوں نے علقمہ سے اور انھوں نے حضرت عبداللہ ( بن مسعود ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ ) سے روایت کی کہ نبی کریم ﷺنے ظہر کی نماز ( میں ) پانچ رکعات پڑھا دیں ، جب آپ نے سلام پھیر ا تو آپ سے عرض کی گئی : کیا نماز میں اضافہ کر دیا گیا ہے ؟ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’ وہ کیا ہے ؟ ‘ ‘ صحابہ نے کہا : آپ نے پانچ رکعات پڑھی ہیں ۔ توآپ نے دو سجدے کیے ۔

English Translation

Abdullah (b. Mas'ud) reported: The Apostle of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said five rak'ahs of the noon prayer and when he completed the prayer, It was said to him: Has there been (commanded) an addition In prayer? He said: What is it? They said: You have said five rak'ahs, so he performed two prostrations.
