دَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، ح قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا ثُوِّبَ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَلَا يَسْعَ إِلَيْهَا أَحَدُكُمْ، وَلَكِنْ لِيَمْشِ وَعَلَيْهِ السَّكِينَةُ وَالْوَقَارُ، صَلِّ مَا أَدْرَكْتَ، وَاقْضِ مَا سَبَقَكَ»

Urdu Translation

  محمد بن سیرین نے حضرت ابوہریرہ ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’جب نماز کے لیے اقامت کہہ دی جائے تو تم میں سے کوئی شخص اس کی طرف بھاگ کر نہ آئے بلکہ اس طرح چل کر آئے کہ اس پر سکون وقار طار ی ہو ، جتنی ( نماز ) پا لو ، پڑھ لو اور جو تمھارے ( پہنچنے ) سے پہلے گزر چکی اسے پورکر لو ۔ ‘ ‘

English Translation

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: When the words of Iqama are pronounced, none of you should run to it (to join the prayer) but walk with tranquillity and dignity, and pray what you are in time for and complete what has gone before (what the Imam has completed).
