Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: The similitude of five prayers is like an overflowing river passing by the gate of one of you in which he washes five times daily Hasan said: No filthiness can remain on him.

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَثَلُ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسِ كَمَثَلِ نَهْرٍ جَارٍ، غَمْرٍ عَلَى بَابِ أَحَدِكُمْ، يَغْتَسِلُ مِنْهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ». قَالَ: قَالَ الْحَسَنُ: «وَمَا يُبْقِي ذَلِكَ مِنَ الدَّرَنِ؟»

  اعمش نے ابو سفیان ( طلحہ بن نافع ) سے ، انھوں نے حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ‘ ‘ پانچ نمازوں کی مثال تم میں سے کسی ایک کے دروازے پر چلتی ہویئ بہت بڑی نہر کی سی ہے ، وہ اس میں سے روزانہ پانچ دفعہ غسل کرتا ہو ۔ ’’ ( اعمش نے ابوسفیان کی بجائے حسن کے حوالے سے روایت کرتے ہوئے ) کہا : حسن نے کہا : یہ غسل اس کے جسم پر کوئی میل کچیل نہیں چھوڑے گا ۔
