A'isha reported: When it was dawn, the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) observed two rak'ahs, and I would say: Does he recite only the opening chapter of the Qur'an in it?

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ سَمِعَ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ أَقُولُ هَلْ يَقْرَأُ فِيهِمَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ

  شعبہ نے محمد بن عبدالرحمان انصاری سے روایت کی ۔ انھوں نے عمرہ بنت عبدالرحمان سے سنا ، انھوں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت کی ، کہا جب فجر طلوع ہوجاتی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم دو رکعتیں ادا کرتے ۔ ( دل میں ) کہتی کیا آ پ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان میں فاتحہ پڑھتے ہیں؟
