A'isha reported that the Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) was not so much particular about observing supererogatory rak'ahs as in case of the two rak'ahs of the dawn prayer.

و حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَى شَيْءٍ مِنْ النَّوَافِلِ أَشَدَّ مُعَاهَدَةً مِنْهُ عَلَى رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الصُّبْحِ

  یحییٰ بن سعید نے ابن جریج سے روایت کی ، انھوں نے کہا : مجھے عطاء بن عبید بن عمیر سے حدیث سنائی اور ا نھوں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سےروایت کی کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نوافل میں سے کسی اور ( نماز ) کی اتنی زیادہ پاسداری نہیں کرتے تھے جتنی آپ صبح سے پہلے کی دو رکعتوں کی کرتے تھے ۔
