و حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ كَتَبَ الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ إِلَى النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ يَسْأَلُهُ أَيَّ شَيْءٍ قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ سِوَى سُورَةِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ هَلْ أَتَاكَ

Urdu Translation

  عبیداللہ بن عبداللہ نے کہا : ضحاک بن قیس نے حضرت نعمان بن بشیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کوخط لکھ کر پوچھا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جمعے کے دن سورہ جمعہ کے علاوہ ( اور ) کون سی سورت پڑھی؟انھوں نے جواب دیا : آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ پڑھا کرتے تھے ۔

English Translation

Dahhak b. Qais wrote to Nu'man b. Bashir asking him what the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) recited on Friday besides Surah Jumu'a He said that he recited: Has there reached... (Surah lxxxviii, ).
