This hadith has been narrated by Hisham b. 'Urwa with the same chain of transmitters but with this addition: Verily the sun and the moon are among the signs of Allah. And similarly this addition was made: He then lifted his hands and said: O Allah! have I not conveyed it?

و حَدَّثَنَاه يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ وَزَادَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَإِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَزَادَ أَيْضًا ثُمَّ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ

  ابو معاویہ نے ہشام بن عروہ سے اسی سند کے ساتھ ( سابقہ حدیث کے مانند ) روایت کی اور اس میں یہ اضافہ کیا پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فر ما یا : " امابعد ( حمد و صلاۃ کے بعد ) !بلا شبہ سورج اور چاند اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے دونشانیاں ہیں ۔ " اور یہ بھی اضافہ کیا : پھر آپ نے اپنے دونوں ہاتھا اٹھا ئے اور فر ما یا : " اے اللہ !کیا میں نے ( پیغام ) اچھی طرح پہنچا دیا ؟ "
