حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ أَخَذَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْبَيْعَةِ أَلَّا تَنُحْنَ فَمَا وَفَتْ مِنَّا غَيْرُ خَمْسٍ مِنْهُنَّ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ

Urdu Translation

  ہشام نے حفصہ سے اور انھوں نے حضرت عطیہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت کی ، انھوں نے کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بیعت میں ہم سے یہ عہد لیا کہ تم نو حہ نہیں کرو گی ہم میں سے پانچ کے سوا کسی نے اس کی ( کماحقہ ) پاسداری نہیں کی ، ان ( پانچ ) میں سے ایک ام سلیم رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا ہیں ۔

English Translation

Umm 'Atiyya reported that the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) took pledge from us (including this promise) that we would not lament. Only five amongst us fulfilled the promise, and one of them (who fulfilled the promise) was Umm Sulaim.
