و حَدَّثَنِي سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتَوَائِيِّ ح و حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ الْجَنَازَةَ فَقُومُوا فَمَنْ تَبِعَهَا فَلَا يَجْلِسْ حَتَّى تُوضَعَ

Urdu Translation

  ابو سلمہ بن عبدالرحمان نے حضرت ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " جب تم جنازے کو دیکھو تو کھڑے ہوجاؤ اور جو شخص جنازے کے پیچھے ( ساتھ ) جائے تو وہ نہ بیٹھے یہاں تک کہ اس ( جنازے ) کو رکھ دیا جائے ۔ "

English Translation

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri that the Prophet ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: Whenever you come across a bier you should stand up, and he who follows it should not sit down till it is placed on the ground.
