حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا فَتَحَ حُنَيْنًا قَسَمَ الْغَنَائِمَ فَأَعْطَى الْمُؤَلَّفَةَ قُلُوبُهُمْ فَبَلَغَهُ أَنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يُصِيبُوا مَا أَصَابَ النَّاسُ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَخَطَبَهُمْ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَلَمْ أَجِدْكُمْ ضُلَّالًا فَهَدَاكُمْ اللَّهُ بِي وَعَالَةً فَأَغْنَاكُمْ اللَّهُ بِي وَمُتَفَرِّقِينَ فَجَمَعَكُمْ اللَّهُ بِي وَيَقُولُونَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمَنُّ فَقَالَ أَلَا تُجِيبُونِي فَقَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمَنُّ فَقَالَ أَمَا إِنَّكُمْ لَوْ شِئْتُمْ أَنْ تَقُولُوا كَذَا وَكَذَا وَكَانَ مِنْ الْأَمْرِ كَذَا وَكَذَا لِأَشْيَاءَ عَدَّدَهَا زَعَمَ عَمْرٌو أَنْ لَا يَحْفَظُهَا فَقَالَ أَلَا تَرْضَوْنَ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ النَّاسُ بِالشَّاءِ وَالْإِبِلِ وَتَذْهَبُونَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ إِلَى رِحَالِكُمْ الْأَنْصَارُ شِعَارٌ وَالنَّاسُ دِثَارٌ وَلَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا وَشِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَشِعْبَهُمْ إِنَّكُمْ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ

Urdu Translation

  عمرو بن یحییٰ بن عمارہ نے عباد بن تمیم سے ، انھوں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن زید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حنین فتح کیا ، غنائم تقسیم کیے تو جن کی تالیف قلب مقصودتھی ان کو ( بہت زیادہ ) عطافرمایا ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تک یہ بات پہنچی کہ انصار بھی اتنا لیناچاہتے ہیں جتنا دوسرے لوگوں کو ملا ہے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے اور ان کو خطاب فرمایا ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اللہ تعالیٰ کی حمد وثنا بیان کی ، پھر فرمایا : " ا ے گروہ انصار!کیا میں نے تم کو گمراہ نہیں پایا تھا ، پھر اللہ تعالیٰ نے میرے ذریعے سے تمھیں ہدایت نصیب فرمائی!اور تمھیں محتاج وضرورت مند نہ پایا تھا ، پھر اللہ تعالیٰ نے میرے زریعے سےتمھیں غنی کردیا!کیا تمھیں منتشر نہ پایا تھا ، پھر اللہ تعالیٰ نے میرے ذریعے سے تمھیں متحد کردیا! " ان سب نے کہا : اللہ اور اس کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس سے بھی بڑھ کر احسان فرمانے والے ہیں ۔ توآپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " تم مجھے جواب نہیں دو گے؟ " انھوں نے کہا : اللہ اور اس کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بہت زیادہ احسان کرنے والے ہیں ۔ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " تم بھی ، اگرچاہو توکہہ سکتے ہو ایساتھا ایساتھا اور معاملہ ایسے ہوا ، ایسےہوا " آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بہت سی باتیں گنوائیں ، ( آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارےپاس اس حالت میں آئے کہ آپ کو جھٹلایا گیا تھا ، ہم نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی تصدیق کی ، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اکیلاچھوڑ دیاگیاتھا ہم نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی مدد کی ، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو نکال دیاگیاتھا ، ہم نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ٹھکانہ مہیاکیا ، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر ذمہ داریوں کابوجھ تھا ، ہم نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ مواسات کی ) عمرو ( بن یحییٰ ) کا خیال ہے وہ انھیں یاد نہیں رکھ سکے ۔ اس کے بعد آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا؛ " کیا تم اس پر راضی نہیں ہوتے کہ لوگ اونٹ اور بکریاں لے کر جائیں اور تم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ا پنے ساتھ لے کر گھروں کو جاؤ؟انصار قریب تر ہیں اور لوگ ان کے بعد ہیں ( شعار وہ کپڑے جو سب سے پہلے جسم پر پہنے جاتے ہیں ، دثار وہ کپڑے جو بعد میں اوڑھے جاتے ہیں ) اور اگر ہجرت ( کا فرق ) نہ ہوتا تو میں بھی انصار کا ایک فرد ہوتا اور اگر لوگ ایک وادی اور گھاٹی میں چلیں تو میں انصار کی وادی اور ان کی گھاٹی میں چلوں گا ، بلاشبہ تم میرے بعد ( خود پر دوسروں کو ) ترجیح ملتی پاؤگے تو صبر کرنا یہاں تک کہ تم مجھے حوض پر آملو ۔ "

English Translation

Abdullah b. Zaid reported that when the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) conquered Hunain he distributed the booty, and he bestowed upon those whose hearts it was intended to win. It was conveyed to him (the Holy Prophet) that the Ansar cherished a desire that they should be given (that very portion) which the people (of Quraish) had got. Upon this the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) stood up and, after having praised Allah and lauded Him, addressed them thus: O people of Ansar, did I not find you erring and Allah guided you aright through me, and (in the state of) being destitute and Allah made you free from want through me, and in a state of disunity and Allah united you through me, and they (the Ansar) said: Allah and His Messenger are most benevolent. He (again) said: Why do you not answer me? They said: Allah and His Messenger are the most benevolent. He said, If you wish you should say so and so, and the event (should take) such and such course (and in this connection he made a mention) of so many things. 'Amr is under the impression that he has not been able to remember them. He (the Holy Prophet) further said: Don't you feel happy (over this state of affairs) that the people should go away with goats and camels, and you go to your places along with the Messenger of Allah? The Ansar are inner garments (more close to me) and (other) people are outer garments. Had there not been migration, I would have been a man from among the Ansar. If the people were to tread a valley or a narrow path, I would tread the valley (chosen) by the Ansar or narrow path (trodden) by them. And you would soon find after me preferences (over you in getting material benefits). So you should show patience till you meet me at the Haud (Kauthar).
