و حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ وَحَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ح و حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ح و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُمَا قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ ذَكَرَ الْخَوَارِجَ فَقَالَ فِيهِمْ رَجُلٌ مُخْدَجُ الْيَدِ أَوْ مُودَنُ الْيَدِ أَوْ مَثْدُونُ الْيَدِ لَوْلَا أَنْ تَبْطَرُوا لَحَدَّثْتُكُمْ بِمَا وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ يَقْتُلُونَهُمْ عَلَى لِسَانِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ قُلْتُ آنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِي وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ إِي وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ إِي وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ

Urdu Translation

  ایو ب نے محمد سے انھوں نے عبیدہ سے اور انھوں نے حضرت علی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی انھوں نے خوارج کا ذکر کیا اور کہا : ان میں ایک آدمی ناقص چھوٹے یا زیادہ اور ہلتے ہو ئے گو شت کے ( جیسے ) ہاتھ والا ہو گا اگر تمھا رے اترا نے کا ڈر نہ ہو تا تو جو کچھ اللہ تعا لیٰ نے انھیں قتل کرنے والوں کے لیے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی زبان سے وعدہ فر ما یا ہے وہ میں تمھیں بتا تا ۔ ( عبیدہ نے ) کہا میں نے عرض کی : کیا آپ نے یہ ( وعدہ برا راست ) محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا ہے ؟ انھوں نے کہا : رب کعبہ کی قسم! ہاں رب کعبہ قسم !ہاں رب کعبہ کی قسم !ہاں

English Translation

Abida narrated from 'Ali that he made a mention of the Khawarij (and in this connection) said that there would be a person among them with a defective hand (or with a short hand) or a fleshy hand. If you were to exercise restraint, I would tell you what Allah has promised to those who would kill them on the order of Muhammad ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ). I (the narrator) said to him: Did you hear it from Muhammad ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ )? He (Hadrat 'Ali) said: Yes, by the Lord of the Ka'bah; Yes, by the Lord of the Ka'bah; yes, by the Lord of the Ka'bah.
