حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، قَالَا: أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا وَقَعَ بِامْرَأَتِهِ فِي رَمَضَانَ، فَاسْتَفْتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: «هَلْ تَجِدُ رَقَبَةً؟» قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: «وَهَلْ تَسْتَطِيعُ صِيَامَ شَهْرَيْنِ؟» قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: «فَأَطْعِمْ سِتِّينَ مِسْكِينًا»

Urdu Translation

  یحییٰ بن یحییٰ ، محمد بن رمح ، لیث ، قتیبہ ، ابن شہاب ، حمید بن عبدالرحمٰن ، بن عوف ، حضرت ابوہریرۃ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک آدمی نے رمضان میں اپنی بیوی سے ہم بستری کرلی اور پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اس مسئلہ کے بارے میں پوچھا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کیاتو ایک غلام آزاد کرسکتا ہے؟اس نے عرض کیا نہیں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کیا تو دو مہینے کے روزے رکھ سکتا ہے ۔ اس نے عرض کیا نہیں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا تو پھر تو ساٹھ مسکینوں کو کھانا کھلا دے ۔

English Translation

Abu Huraira reported that a person had intercourse with his wife during Ramadan (while fasting). He asked for the religious verdict (about it) from the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ), whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Can you find a slave (to grant him freedom)? He said: No. He (the Prophet again) said: Can you afford to observe fasts for two (consecutive) months? He said: No. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Then feed sixty poor men.
