وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو الْأَسْلَمِيَّ، سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي رَجُلٌ أَسْرُدُ الصَّوْمَ، أَفَأَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ؟ قَالَ: «صُمْ إِنْ شِئْتَ، وَأَفْطِرْ إِنْ شِئْتَ»

Urdu Translation

  ابوربیع ، حماد ، ابن زید ، ہشام ، سیدہ عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت حمزہ بن عمرو اسلمی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کیا اے اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم !میں ایک ایسا آدمی ہوں کہ مسلسل روزے رکھتا ہوں تو کیا میں سفر میں بھی روزہ رکھوں؟آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اگر تو چاہے تو روزہ رکھ لے اور اگر چاہے تو افطارکرلے ۔

English Translation

A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Hamza b. Amr al-Aslami asked the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) thus: Messenger of Allah, I am a person devoted much to fasting. Should I fast during the journey? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Fast if you like and break it if you like.
