Kuraib, the freed slave of Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with him), reported from Maimuna, the wife of the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ), that people had doubt about the fasting of Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) on the day of 'Arafa. Maimuna sent him a cup of milk and he was halting at a place and he drank it and the people were seeing him.

وحَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: «إِنَّ النَّاسَ شَكُّوا فِي صِيَامِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ، فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ مَيْمُونَةُ بِحِلَابِ اللَّبَنِ، وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ فِي الْمَوْقِفِ، فَشَرِبَ مِنْهُ وَالنَّاسُ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهِ»

  ہارون بن سعید ، ابن وہب ، عمر ، بکیر ، بن اشج ، کریب ، مولی ابن عباس ، حضرت میمونہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی زوجہ مطہرہ سے روایت ہے وہ فرماتی ہیں کہ لوگ عرفہ کے دن رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے روزے کے بارے میں شک میں پڑ گئے چنانچہ حضرت میمونہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف دودھ کا ایک لوٹا بھیجا جس وقت کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم عرفات کے میدان میں کھڑے ہوئے تھے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سےدودھ پیا جبکہ لوگ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف دیکھ رہے تھے ۔
