Sahih Muslim 2844 - The Book Of Pilgrimage

وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، وَسُفْيَانَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْتَشِرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، يَقُولُ: لَأَنْ أُصْبِحَ مُطَّلِيًا بِقَطِرَانٍ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أُصْبِحَ مُحْرِمًا أَنْضَخُ طِيبًا، قَالَ: فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، فَأَخْبَرْتُهَا بِقَوْلِهِ، فَقَالَتْ: «طَيَّبْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَطَافَ فِي نِسَائِهِ، ثُمَّ أَصْبَحَ مُحْرِمًا»

Urdu Translation

  سفیان نے ابرا ہیم بن محمد بن منتشر سے انھوں نے اپنے والد سے روایت کی انھوں نے کہا میں نے ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو کہتے ہو ئے سنا انھوں نے کہا یہ بات کہ میں تار کو ل مل لوں ۔ مجھے اس کی نسبت زیادہ پسند ہے کہ میں احرا م باندھوں اور مجھ سے خوشبو پھوٹ رہی ہو ۔ ( محمد نے کہا : میں حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوااور آپ کو ان ( ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ) کی بات بتا ئی ۔ انھوں نے کہا میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو خوشبو لگا ئی پھر آپ اپنی تمام بیویوں کے ہاں تشر یف لے گئے پھر آپ محرم ہو گئے ( احرا م کی نیت کر لی ۔ ) باب : 8 ۔ جس نے حج و عمرے کا الگ الگ یا اکٹھا احرا م باندھا ہوا ہواس کے لیے کسی کھا ئے جا نے والے جا نور کا شکار جو خشک زمین پر رہتا ہو یا بنیادی طور پر خشکی سے تعلق رکھتا ہو حرا م ہے

English Translation

Muhammad b. al-Muntashir reported on the authority of his father: I heard from Ibn 'Umar having said this: It is dearer to me to rub tar (on my body) than to enter upon the state of Ihram (in a state) of shaking off the perfume. He (the narrator) said: I went to 'A'isha and told her about this statement of his (of Ibn 'Umar). Thereupon she said: I applied perfume to the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) and he then went round his wives and then entered upon the state of Ihram in the morning.
