وحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ يَحْيَى: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَابِسِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ عُمَرَ يُقَبِّلُ الْحَجَرَ، وَيَقُولُ: «إِنِّي لَأُقَبِّلُكَ وَأَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ حَجَرٌ، وَلَوْلَا أَنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقَبِّلُكَ لَمْ أُقَبِّلْكَ»

Urdu Translation

  ہمیں خلف بن ہشام ، مقدمی ، ابوکامل ، اورقتیبہ بن سعید سب نے حماد سے حدیث بیان کی ، خلف نے کہا : ہمیں حماد بن زید نے عاصم احول سے حدیث بیان کی ، انھوں نےعبداللہ بن سرجس سے روایت کی ، کہا : میں نے سرکےاگلے حصے سے اڑے ہوئے بالوں والے ، یعنی عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کودیکھا ، وہ حجر اسود کو بوسہ دیتے تھے اور کہتے تھے : اللہ کی قسم!میں تجھے بوسہ دےرہاہوں ، اور بے شک میں جانتا ہوں کہ تو ایک پتھر ہے ، تو نقصان پہنچاسکتا ہے نہ نفع ، اگر ایسا نہ ہوتا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو تجھے بوسہ دیے دیکھاتھا ، تومیں تجھے بوسہ نہ دیتا ۔ مقدمی اور ابو کامل کی روایت میں ( اڑے ہوئے بالوں والے کی بجائے ) "" آگے سے چھوٹی سی گنج والے "" کودیکھا کے الفاظ ہیں ۔

English Translation

Abdullah b. Sarjis reported: I saw the bald one, i. e. 'Umar b. Khattib (Allah be pleased with him). kissing the Stone and saying: By Allah. I am kissing with full consciousness of the fact that you are a stone and that you can neither do any harm nor good; and if I had not seen Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) kissing you. I would not have kissed you. The rest of the hadith is the same.
