Baab Hajj Ke Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ الْفَضْلِ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ خَثْعَمَ، قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ أَبِي شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ، عَلَيْهِ فَرِيضَةُ اللهِ فِي الْحَجِّ، وَهُوَ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَسْتَوِيَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ بَعِيرِهِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «فَحُجِّي عَنْهُ»

Urdu Translation

  3252ابن جریج نے سابقہ سند کے ساتھ ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے اور انھوں نے فضل رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ قبیلہ خشعم کی ایک عورت نے عرض کی ۔ اے اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! میرے والد عمررسیدہ ہیں اور اللہ کا فریضہ حج ان کے ذمے ہے اور اونٹ کی پشت پر ٹھیک طرح بیٹھ نہیں سکتے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فر ما یا : " تم ان کی طرف سے حج کر لو ۔

English Translation

Fadl reported that a woman of Banu Khath'am said: Messenger of Allah, my father is very old. There is an old obligation of Hajj upon him from Allah, but he is not capable of sitting on the back of the camel. Thereupon Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: Perform Hajj on his behalf.
