حَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ح وحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى التُّجِيبِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونسُ، أَنَّ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: بَعَثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ فِي الْحَجَّةِ الَّتِي أَمَّرَهُ عَلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَبْلَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ، فِي رَهْطٍ، يُؤَذِّنُونَ فِي النَّاسِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ: «لَا يَحُجُّ بَعْدَ الْعَامِ مُشْرِكٌ، وَلَا يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ عُرْيَانٌ»، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ: فَكَانَ حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يَقُولُ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ: يَوْمُ الْحَجِّ الْأَكْبَرِ مِنْ أَجْلِ حَدِيثِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

Urdu Translation

  عمرو ( بن حارث ) نے ابن شہاب سے ، انھوں نے حمید بن عبدالرحمان ( بن عوف ) سے خبردی ، انھوں نے حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، نیز بونس ( بن یزید ایلی ) نے ابن شہاب سے اسی سندکے ساتھ حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، انھوں نے کہا : حضرت ابو بکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے مجھے اس حج میں جس میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حجۃ الوداع سے پہلے انھیں امیر بنایا تھا ، ایک چھوٹی جماعت کے ساتھ روانہ کیا کہ وہ لوگ قربانی کے دن لوگوں میں ( یہ ) اعلان کریں کہ اس سال کے بعد کوئی مشرک حج نہیں کرے گا اور نہ کوئی برہنہ شخص بیت اللہ کا طواف کرے گا ۔ ابن شہاب نے کہا : حمید بن عبدالرحمان ( بن عوف ) حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کی حدیث کی بنا پر کہاکرتے تھے : قربانی کا دن ہی حج اکبر کا دن ہے ۔

English Translation

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported: Abu Bakr Siddiq (Allah be pleased with him) sent me during Hajj before the Farewell Pilgrimage for which Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) had appointed him an Amir, among a group of people whom he had ordered to make announcement to the people on the Day of Nahr: After this year no polytheist may perform the Pilgrimage and no naked person may circumambulate the House. Ibn Shihab stated that Humaid b. Abd al-Rahman said that according to this narration of Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) the day of Hajj al-Akbar (Great Hajj) is this Day of Nahr (10th of Dhu'l-Hijja).
