وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَهَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالُوا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى سَمَّى الْمَدِينَةَ طَابَةَ»

Urdu Translation

  حضرت جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے ، انھوں نے کہا : میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئےسنا ، " بلا شبہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے مدینہ کا نام " طابہ " رکھا ہے ۔ "

English Translation

Jabir b. Samura (Allah be pleased with him) reported that he heard Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) say: Allah named Medina as Tabba.
