حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ، قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: يَأْتِي الشَّيْطَانُ أَحَدَكُمْ فَيَقُولَ: مَنْ خَلَقَ كَذَا وَكَذَا؟ حَتَّى يَقُولَ لَهُ: مَنْ خَلَقَ رَبَّكَ؟ فَإِذَا بَلَغَ ذَلِكَ، فَلْيَسْتَعِذْ بِاللهِ وَلْيَنْتَهِ ،

Urdu Translation

  ابن شہاب کے بھتیجے ( محمد بن عبد اللہ بن مسلم ) نے اپنے چچا ( محمد بن مسلم زہری ) سے حدیث سنائی ، انہوں نے کہا : مجھے عروہ بن زبیر نے خبر دی کہ حضرت ابوہریرہ ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ نے کہا : رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’ تم میں سے کسی کے پاس شیطان آ کر کہتا ہے کہ فلاں فلاں چیز کو کس نے پیدا کیا ؟ یہاں تک کہ اس سے کہتا ہے : تمہارےرب کو کس نے پیدا کیا ؟ جب بات یہاں تک پہنچے تو وہ اللہ سے پناہ مانگے او ر ( مزید سوچنے سے ) رک جائے ۔ ‘ ‘

English Translation

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah may peace be upon him) observed: The Satan comes to everyone. of you and says: Who created this and that? till he questions: Who created your Lord? When he comes to that, one should seek refuge in Allah and keep away (from such idle thoughts).
