Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) reported: We used to practise 'azl during the life of Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ).

وحَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْقِلٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا، يَقُولُ: «لَقَدْ كُنَّا نَعْزِلُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
