حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَاللَّفْظُ لِيَحْيَى، قَالَ عَمْرٌو: حَدَّثَنَا، وَقَالَ يَحْيَى: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ، وَهُمْ يُسْلِفُونَ فِي الثِّمَارِ السَّنَةَ وَالسَّنَتَيْنِ، فَقَالَ: «مَنْ أَسْلَفَ فِي تَمْرٍ، فَلْيُسْلِفْ فِي كَيْلٍ مَعْلُومٍ، وَوَزْنٍ مَعْلُومٍ، إِلَى أَجَلٍ مَعْلُومٍ»

Urdu Translation

  ) یحییٰ بن یحییٰ اور عمرو ناقد نے ہمیں حدیث بیان کی ۔ ۔ الفاظ یحییٰ کے ہیں ، عمرو نے کہا : ہمیں حدیث بیان کی اور یحییٰ نے کہا : ہمیں خبر دی ۔ ۔ سفیان بن عیینہ نے ہمیں ابن ابی نجیح سے خبر دی ، انہوں نے عبداللہ بن کثیر سے ، انہوں نے ابومنہال سے اور انہوں نے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مدینہ تشریف لائے اور وہ لوگ پھلوں میں ایک دو سال تک کے لیے بیع سلف کرتے تھے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " جو کھجور میں بیع سلف کرے تو وہ معلوم ماپ اور معلوم وزن میں معلوم مدت تک کے لیے کرے ۔ "

English Translation

Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) reported that when Allah's Prophet ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) came to Medina, they were paying one and two years in advance for fruits, so he said: Those who pay in advance for anything must do so for a specified weight and for a definite time.
