Baab Waris Ke Muqararah Hisson Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: عَادَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا مَرِيضٌ، وَمَعَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مَاشِيَيْنِ، فَوَجَدَنِي قَدْ أُغْمِيَ عَلَيَّ، فَتَوَضَّأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ صَبَّ عَلَيَّ مِنْ وَضُوئِهِ، فَأَفَقْتُ، فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقُلْتُ: «يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ فِي مَالِي؟ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ شَيْئًا حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ آيَةُ الْمِيرَاثِ»

Urdu Translation

  سفیان ( ثوری ) نے ہمیں حدیث بیان کی ، انہوں نے کہا : میں نے محمد بن منکدر سے سنا ، انہوں نے کہا : میں نے حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا ، وہ کہہ رہے تھے : میں بیمار تھا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے میری عیادت کی ، آپ کے ساتھ حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ بھی تھے ، دونوں پیدل چل کر تشریف لائے ۔ آپ نے مجھے ( اس حالت میں ) پایا کہ مجھ پر غشی طاری تھی ، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وضو کیا ، پھر اپنے وضو کا بچا ہوا پانی مجھ پر ڈالا ، میں ہوش میں آ گیا تو دیکھا سامنے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تشریف فرما ہیں ، میں نے عرض کی : اے اللہ کے رسول! میں اپنے مال کے بارے میں کیا کروں؟ کہا : آپ نے مجھے کوئی جواب نہ دیا یہاں تک کہ وراثت کی آیت نازل ہوئی ۔

English Translation

Jabir b. 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) reported: While I had been ill Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) visited me and Abu akr (Allah be pleased with him) was with him, and they both came walking on foot. He (the Holy Prophet) found me unconscious. Allahs Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) performed ablution and then sprinkled over me the water of his ablution. I felt relieved regained my consciousness) and found Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) there. I said: Allah's Messenger, what should I do with my property? He gave me no reply until the verse (iv. 177) relating to the law of inheritance was revealed.
