Baab Emaan Ka Bayan

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، قَالَ: هَذَا مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرَ أَحَادِيثَ مِنْهَا وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّ أَدْنَى مَقْعَدِ أَحَدِكُمْ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ أَنْ يَقُولَ لَهُ: تَمَنَّ فَيَتَمَنَّى، وَيَتَمَنَّى، فَيَقُولُ لَهُ: هَلْ تَمَنَّيْتَ؟ فَيَقُولُ: نَعَمْ، فَيَقُولُ لَهُ: فَإِنَّ لَكَ مَا تَمَنَّيْتَ وَمِثْلَهُ مَعَهُ

Urdu Translation

  ہمام بن منبہ سے روایت ہے ، انہوں نے کہا : یہ احادیث ہیں جو حضرت ابو ہریرہ ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ نے ہمیں رسول اللہ ﷺ سے ( سن کر ) بیان کیں ، پھر ( ہمام نے ) بہت سی احادیث بیان کیں ، ان میں یہ حدیث بھی تھی کہ رسو ل اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’تم میں سے کسی کی جنت میں کم از کم جگہ یہ ہو گی کہ اللہ تعالیٰ اس سے فرمائے گا : تمنا کر ۔ تو وہ تمنا کرے گا ، پھر تمنا کرے گا ، اللہ اس سے پوچھے گا : کیا تم تمنا کر چکے ؟ وہ کہے گا : ہاں ۔ اللہ تعالیٰ فرمائے گا : وہ سب کچھ تیرا ہوا جس کی تو نے تمنا کی اوراس کےساتھ اتناہی ( اور بھی ۔ ) ‘ ‘

English Translation

Hammam b. Munabbih said: This is what Abu Huraira transmitted to us from the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ), and he narrated many of them;- one of them was: The Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: The lowest in rank among you in Paradise would be asked: Desire (whatever you like). And he would express his desire and again and again express a desire. tHe would be asked: Have you expressed your desire? He would say: Yes. Then He (Allah) would say: For thee is (granted) what thou desirest, and the like of it along with it.
